fine art by material

Here you can select to view art by the material it was created on. I’ll pretty much paint on anything but below are my top four favorite materials to work on- Canvas, Wood, Paper, and Record Albums.

Canvas Art

Canvas Art

The canvas pieces are hand built from scratch. This enables me to make any size and depth i like. I’ve built some canvas that are as thick as 6″ D. I paint around the entire piece so a frame is not needed.

Wood Art

Wood Art

The wood is chosen based on the grain and what the grain has to say. The story is embedded into the grain of the wood. Each piece has it’s own unique tale to tell.

Paper Art

Paper Art

I play with a variety of different papers but watercolor and rice paper are probably my all time fav’s. Paper is a perfect on the road medium. If you find I’m suddenly producing many paper pieces you can bet I’m prob traveling 🙂

Record Albums

Record Albums

I search for those real old thick 78’s. I usually use the album name as the title of the piece. This one displayed is called “How Lovely Cooks the meat”
